Aggressively Advancing

Written by  Nina Ricci Villanueva

AGGRESSIVELY ADVANCING (Prayer Partner Breakfast)

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

(Matthew 11:12, NIV)

AGGRESSIVE and FORCEFUL--- These are the two words that describe the recently concluded Prayer Partner Breakfast. Held last January 14, 2012 at the Kairos Center in Lagro, the very first Prayer Partner Breakfast for the year 2012 once again united the VCA family in prayer and in believing God for greater things.

With the theme, Aggressively Advancing, Senior Pastor Ning Conte encouraged everyone to forcefully advance the kingdom of God by taking authority in Christ and praying aggressively.   “We are forceful and offensive people. We will not be defeated by the enemy,” she stressed. Pastor Ning also reiterated that we have so much power, anointing, and favor within us and those must be released.

The message powerfully resonated to everyone as the congregation started to aggressively pray for the following corporate prayer points: (1) family relationships of members; (2) family needs of members; (3) unity of the body of Christ especially VCA members; (4) VCA plans for 2012; (5) provision for church orphanage, office, and feeding programs; and (6) the Isaiah 54 Project.

In addition to the abovementioned corporate prayer points, attendees of the said event also prayed for the Philippines, Israel, VCA/VCI leaders, and church revival.

Hosted by our brothers and sisters from Area 6, the Prayer Partner Breakfast turned out to be a great way of starting the year 2012, that is by worshipping and soaking in the presence of God.
