Prayer Partner Breakfast

Written by  Chay Erni
Heartfelt prayers welcomed the Saturday morning of July 10, 2010 at Kairos Student Center, Lagro. With the utmost intensity of God’s greatness, VCA family once again gathered together to pray with ardent power. It was a morning of not just prayer but most importantly praise and worship to the Lord. Focused on praying fervently for our nation, our families and our church, ministries and the 9 cell group areas, everybody prayed altogether as one family in Christ

Pastor Ricky Resuelo together with the representative heads of all the Ministries led the early morning event. Area 7 facilitated the entire program. More than 50 VCA members attended that special morning of prayer in unity. The prayer breakfast was graced by three testimonies of God’s faithfulness to Sister Eden Tabon, Sister Femy Garciano, and Brother Joseph Flores. Each of their testimonial was an answered prayer as to how God provided for everything that they need. To note some, Sis.Eden and Bro. Bert’s 15-year-old youngest son was healed from a continuous accumulation of fluids in the lungs and difficulty in breathing. Never did they consider having the option of subjecting their child to operation as advised by the doctor. They continued to search for options other than operation. It was their faith in God’s healing touch and their belief in the corporate prayers of the whole church that led them to be faithful and hopeful to their child’s recovery. Praise God! Out in danger, their child’s health improved a lot. From a total amount of 700 cubic centimeters (cc.) of fluids in the lungs of their child at the start of the disease, the amount decreased into 76 cc. upon the latest check-up to the doctor. They even quoted that their child has no intense gasping for breath episodes anymore which before hindered their child from climbing some high stairs. Presently, their child is into rehabilitation activities like spirometry exercises for the improvements in breathing. By God’s loving grace, their child’s performance is continuously getting better. All the more, Sis.Eden and Bro.Bert continue to have a more strengthened faith in God.
After the inspiring testimonies was a continual singing of love, worship and prayers of each attendee to the Lord. All for God’s glory, the event place at Kairos was filled with His presence. The event went over with such a sweet seal of each one’s commitment to live with a lifestyle of prayer.
“Unless the Lord builds a house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”             Psalms 127:1

Verse of the Day

1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
